Niagara-on-the-Lake Horticultural Society 26th Annual Garden Tour

Niagara-on-the-Lake (NOTL), one of the loveliest towns in Ontario, invites you to the 26th Annual Niagara-on-the-Lake Horticultural Society’s Garden Tour, Saturday July 8th, 2017 10 am – 4 pm rain or shine, in historic Niagara-on-the-Lake.

Situated on the south shore of Lake Ontario at the mouth of the Niagara River, Niagara-on-the-Lake is easy to reach via the QEW highway from southern Ontario and the northeastern USA. This self-guided garden tour attracts over 1,000 visitors and highlights volunteerism in action with dedicated and creative service from over 100 volunteers and year-long planning efforts.

The 2017 Garden Tour will showcase ten impressive residential gardens all located in downtown, historic Niagara-on-the-Lake. The gardens offer vistas of horticultural and natural transformations, integrating forest to garden, lovely courtyards and creative garden styles ranging from casual to formal. All gardens provide great ideas for creating privacy, colour, texture, scents and incorporating edible plants and vegetables into residential landscapes. Local musicians and visual artists at many of the gardens will enhance your garden tour experience.

All proceeds from the tour support the Niagara-on-the-Lake Horticultural Society’s non-profit activities including enhancing local public garden spaces, presenting monthly lectures of horticultural and environmental interest throughout the year, creating flower arrangements for seniors, offering bursaries to students, organizing plant exchanges and encouraging environmental stewardship in the region.

Tickets purchased on Saturday, July 8th are $15 (cash only) at Mori Gardens or at all of the 10 gardens 10 am – 4pm.
